When the world shut down in 2020 and events everywhere came to a halt, the dream of continuing rodeos seemed impossible. That’s when we found something even greater than a location — we found family. Through faith, hard work, and a little bit of luck, we connected with Walter Miller and his family at Miller Farm, right here in Cusseta, Georgia. What started as a simple search for an additional rodeo outside of Atlanta quickly became something much more meaningful — the beginning of a new legacy for our community.
The Heart Behind the Chattahoochee Rodeo
Over the past five years, what began as an addition to the “Atlanta” Cobb County Rodeo has grown into the largest annual event in Chattahoochee County, drawing thousands of spectators — including soldiers and families from Fort Benning, local residents, and visitors from across Georgia. Our rodeo now brings together the Unified Government of Cusseta–Chattahoochee County, the Sheriff’s Office, Fire Department, first responders, and countless local sponsors, all working together to celebrate the spirit of unity, pride, and country life that defines us.
At the heart of it all stand two extraordinary men — Walter Miller, the landowner, and Quentin Battle, our landman and farm general manager. Their work ethic is second to none, their generosity unmatched, and their love for this community undeniable. Walter’s wife, Ann, and Quentin’s wife Shenequia, affectionately known to everyone as “Peaches”, are every bit as dedicated, welcoming, and kind-hearted as their husbands. Together, they embody everything this rodeo represents — family, faith, and community. There’s no doubt: we couldn’t do it without them, and we’re proud to call them not just partners, but friends.
